In recent months, online trade magazine The Retail Optimiser has interviewed top decision-makers in the non-food retail sector in Germany, Austria and Switzerland to understand how they're implementing omnichannel solutions. Now, in a joint report with OneStock, they've revealed the plans and challenges of retailers across the region, including what they want from their own IT landscapes. The considerable demands placed on internal teams to build all the different capabilities required often seem to clash massively with the need to reduce costs and maximise profits. But there are clever strategies and technologies that can optimise the connections between a retailer's e-commerce and brick-and-mortar stores, even in multi-level retail companies, as well as integrating call centres and marketplace partners.
