How retailers can use new ways to pay to create customer loyalty

A lack of available payment methods, limited product availability, and innovative technology or disconnected sales channels aren't just frustrating for shoppers but also costing retailers €1.9 trillion each year in potential sales. In our global survey of 6,000 shoppers and 2,550 retailers, we found out what shoppers expect from their in-store shopping experience today but also how much retailers lose in sales if they ignore customer needs. Based on the findings of this survey, and using examples from the retail industry, we provide practical tips and insights on how retailers can increase customer loyalty and also grow conversion rates. Mobile point of sales solutions, self-checkouts, endless aisle and contactless payments with cards or wallets are just a few examples of how to make the customer journey more convenient and intuitive.
