The 10 coolest things I have done in Event Greening

Justin Hawes founded South African exhibition and events company, Scan Display, in 1996. The business promotes sustainability by offering clients a variety of event greening programmes and implementing greening programmes in its offices.

Justin founded the Events Greening Forum, a non-profit organisation that aims to promote greening practices within the Southern African events industry, in 2002.

With more than twenty years of experience in event greening, Justin has applied a range of eco-friendly initiatives to exhibitions and events. Scan Display has been acknowledged for its efforts in event greening, winning the UFI (The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) Sustainable Development Award in 2013 and 2015.

Justin will share his experience in sustainability and discuss his 10 most interesting and innovative green event initiatives, including the introduction of the Sustainability Village at Meetings Africa, Africa’s largest business events trade show.
