Use retail equipment data to increase customer satisfaction and revenue

Data has become one of the world’s most valuable resources, and the retailers who manage to process and utilize it to the advantage of their customers will move ahead of the competition. Access to data from APIs through partnerships and third party vendors are becoming increasingly available, making it easier than ever to take advantage of this data to create value for both yourself and your customers.

With more and more retail equipment connected to the internet and providing data streams, the big question is how retailers can take advantage of this data through APIs to create great customer experiences. Steve Mellbye-Stølen, Product Manager for SaaS & Applications at TOMRA Collection Solutions Digital will talk about these challenges and how equipment manufacturers and retailers can work together to delight customers. He’ll show examples of how TOMRA use data from more than 55 000 connected reverse vending machines to enrich the recycling experience for both retailers and consumers though a wide range of APIs.

Following Steve, Bojana Milasinovic, Business Manager at TOMRA Collection Solutions Digital will take the stage to show a specific case where TOMRA has used its own APIs to create a consumer facing recycling app. She will talk about how data can be processed, shaped and presented in a way that motivate and engage consumers, specifically in the form of gamification.
